Falling in love with Fall

This tutorial was written by me, on November 2012 it is written using PSP 9 but should work in any version

Open a 600x600 tag

Element 8 copy paste as a new layer, then re-size it by 70% it should still be in the center of your tag.

I’m using a tube that has 3 different sizes in it. Two close up’s one a head shot

So your tube may vary in size and style

I’m taking one of them and pasting it behind the frame, then I am using my selection tool to remove all but just the face of the tube, I’m then cutting that out of the tube and deleting the other parts of the tube. I copy that one cut out and mirror it and place it under the second part of the frame

Now pull the frame to the left hand side of your tag about 6 squares over from center, merge the face layers into one layer and move them back under the frame.

Below the frame open element 24 re-size it by 60% pull it to the lower left hand side of your frame, and then copy it again and mirror it and pull that to the right hand side of your frame, make it look like the frames are sitting on a pile of leaves, well two piles...

Open element-17 re-size by 55% and pull it to the middle of the frame…

Open element 44 copy and re-size by 55% and pull it to the left hand side of the frame (the bottom part will be covered here in a bit)

I’m taking the sitting full size of the tube and pasting above frame’s and re-sizing it by 55% and pulling it to the bottom of the frames

Open element 3 and re-size it by 55% and paste it, then re-size it again by 55% and pull it under the sitting figure, then you are going to copy the books and mirror them and put them in front of the one set, and make it look like she is sitting on the books…

Element 18 copy & re-size by 30% and pull it to the lower left hand corner…

To make the background I used Element 15 and opened a new 600x600 tag, and pasted it many times, flipped a few of them merged and copied and flipped mirrored and rotated it to make it look like it is a background full of leaves..

Use what ever method you like if you want some lighter than others use the opacity setting and make it lighter or use the radiance setting in Xero: Radiance to make it lighter or darker.. which ever way you want your “leaf” background to look like..

For the background on the letters I am taking Paper 7 copy and pasting as a new image, re-size it to a 200x200 image size and using your effects tool I’m twirling it>>>

Use setting below 

I’m using the background and a dark brown as my foreground with a stroke of 2 then I am adding a gradient glow of white with my default drop shadow.
